You'll excuse me if all I see is a second iteration of the Tower of Babel

>God created us in his own image. But he wanted to control us, to keep us penned in the garden.

>That didn’t work out so well.

>We were too much like him.

>We were meant to become the Creator, to create new forms of life, to form new symbiotic relationships that transform both creator and created.

>The gates of Eden are cracked opened again. But this time, we're not being cast out.

>We're marching in.

This is our destiny.

I'm old enough that I won't see how it turns out. You're young enough that you will regret presuming yourself to be god.

I just think that the nature of man is constantly transcend the limits of our biology.

That's profound, if it turns out that way.

I'm not religious, but you're on a path to be smacked down by god. As was everyone who ever lived before you. Immortality is not all it's cracked up to be.

So, I'm 70. Terminal. Freeze me. If it takes you 200 yrs to find a fix that will put me back in service, what use would I be to anyone at that time? What quality of life could I expect? "Idiocracy" comes to mind. There's reason for natural life/death cycles we can observe in all species. You can't just wish your way exempt from them.
